Nagaland, one of the seven north eastern states is a Christian predominant religion. 90.02 % of the people here are Christians. Nagaland is counted one of the top most Christian majority states in India along with Meghalaya and Mizoram. Churches are present at many places in Nagaland including Kohima, Dimapur and Mokokchung with Wokha and Kohima having a significant population of Christians. Hinduism and Islam occupies 7.7 % and 1.8 % respectively. A very old indigenous religion is followed by a very small number of people in Nagaland known as the Heraka. It is primarily found amongst the Zeliangrong tribe. Religious places can be found all over Nagaland though the number of church is the highest.
Catholic Cathedral, Kohima
It is one of the primary tourist attractions in Nagaland. The Kohima Catholic cathedral is located in the Aradura Hills. One of the biggest cathedrals in all of Northeast, the Kohima cathedral is a piece of creative art whose interiors and architecture are worth seeing. The capacity of the church is also very high 3000 sitting and 1500 standing capacity.
Spirit of Faith Church
The Spirit of Faith Church is a popular destination in Nagaland located in Dimapur. The services in the church are conducted both in English as well as local language. Number of people attending Sunday Church here goes to around 750 apart from the Saturday teenage meet attended by 100 young boys and girls.

Mizo Church, Peren
Traditional prayers and other ceremonies are held in this church located in Peren. It is a small local church where the people offer their prayers to the holy Lord.
Ao Baptist Church, Dimapur
The Ao Baptist church in Dimapur is another local church in Dimapur attended by the locals as well as tourists coming from afar. With eight other fellowship churches associated with it, the Ao Baptist church is under the Nagaland Baptist church council. The church has a huge prayer hall to accommodate as many devotees as possible.
Shiva Temple, Dimapur
