Connectivity of Nagaland

Nagaland, one of the eight hill states of the north eastern region is well connected by air, rail and road. The state capital Kohima and the second most important town Dimapur are well linked with rest parts of the country.

By Air :

Nagaland has a domestic airport at Dimapur which is regularly served by Indian Airlines and other private players. The city is linked to two major Indian cities viz. Guwahati and Kolkata by regular flights.

By Rail :

The major railhead in the state is Dimapur, which is linked to Guwahati, the gateway to the northeastern India. Guwahati is well connected to the rest of the country by important trains.

By Road :

A well maintained network of roads connects Kohima to various places in the state and also to Guwahati and Shilong. There are regular buses available from Kohima to various places in the northeastern region.
